Guiding Families
Guiding families is a project that started in the youth village several years ago and is based on a model of cooperation with the community in which the child is educated. The model was developed by the At-chance Children’s Association and is implemented in our institutions.
The “guiding family” is a family that is willing to guide and host a boy or girl who grows up in the youth village throughout their time there. Hosting takes place from Friday to Saturday, once every two weeks, on holidays and on long vacations. The “guiding family” gives the child the opportunity to experience family life, warmth, and love. This family cell encourages and supports the child, ensuring that the child has a genuine family experience with the parents of the family home in the youth village.
