Co-parenting
Co-parenting is based on another program developed by the At-chance Children’s Association, where the child’s biological family is considered an integral part of his or her life outside their biological home.
In our organization, the children maintain contact with their biological parents, who are involved in and partake in the educational and mental wellbeing of their children alongside the parents of the family home and the staff of the youth village.
According to our model, the child belongs to his biological parents and therefore it is important to maintain contact and cooperate with them as much as possible, ensuring successful integration and adaptation for the child during the stay in the village.
