In Migdal Or Education Campus, there are number of family homes, caring for children aged 6-18. These family homes operate under a comprehensive and broad organizational structure as part of a larger educational and therapeutic framework founded by Rabbi Yitzchak David Grossman, which partners with Hamifal.

As part of the overall therapeutic concept, there are family homes in Migdal Or for the younger children, which provide a homely and loving environment for the younger age group, while the older boys live in a boarding school environment, where educational and therapeutic programs are held.

The boarding school of Migdal-Or team provides a comprehensive therapeutic and educational framework in order to give every pupil a fair chance to realize his full personal and educational potential.

This professional therapeutic environment is available in all stages of the student’s stay in the institution. At their initial integration into the institution, the student is interviewed by a social worker in order to assess the student’s level and to design a wellbeing plan that is appropriate for the student’s unique needs.

The family model provides a solid foundation which helps the child cope in complex social situations, and which supports personal independence and  encourages further educational advancement in the later stages of their lives.

In Migdal-Or, there are therapeutic horse riding activities, art and drama therapy, group interventions based on contemporary issues (for example, social problems in the group, risks while on vacation, etc.), remedial teaching by specialised teachers, providing 70 hours of teaching per week.

There is also a mentoring project for children who require further educational and emotional assistance. Here, a personal tutor acts as a positive role model who guides the child and helps them realize their full potential, and develop a positive self-esteem and prosperity.

As part of the positive relationships formed in this project, the mentors invite the pupils to experience family Shabbat meals in their home which also presents the child with a healthy family model to emulate.
