Hakfar Hayarok Family Homes
Hakfar Hayarok provides children with a green and pleasant environment in nature with a beautiful farm animal area, a pool during the summer and of course a unique way of life.
There are 4 family homes in the village complex, caring for 48 children aged 6-18,
Most of the children come to the village from the middle of the country and integrate into the schools in the Village, Ramat Hasharon and in its surroundings.
The family homes are supported by a professional team including social workers, psychologists, art therapists and more.
We strive to:
- Provide the children with a stable, supportive and nurturing family environment
- Assist and encourage the children in their academic education
- Integrate the family home’s children into the community life in the village and into the community life in which they study
- Tighten the connection between the family home’s staff and the families of the children
- Create a safe environment for the children, with an emphasis on preventing violence, having mutual respect between the children themselves and between them and the adults
- Teach values while emphasizing attachment with the heritage and culture of Israel
Alongside the regular core studies program, there is an afternoon social and teaching support program which includes:
- Art Therapy: A unique therapy designed to help children who have difficulty expressing their feelings verbally
- Learning reinforcement: Remedial teaching and tutoring in core subjects to assist children with their schooling.
- Extra Murals: The children of the village are integrated into extra mural classes in the village
- Extensive Musical Activity: This includes a singing band of very young children with high musical skill and ability. The children's performances are always full of virtue and grace, and capture the hearts of the audience. Musical instrument lessons are offered for various instruments such as drums, guitar, violin, piano and more.
- Summer Activities: These activities combine learning and fun, and include camps, trips and lots of entertainment.
- Bnei Mitzvah Project: This project has been operating in the village for many years. We work in coordination with the biological families in order to pull off the Bnei Mitzvah Project, which has become a household name.
Most of the village’s graduates are able to advance in the next stages of their lives, serve in combat units in command positions as part of their military service in the IDF, and integrate as good citizens into Israeli society.
If you are interested in helping us deliver the level of services these children deserve, we will be happy to provide you with more information and even give you a tour of the family homes of the youth village.
